Case in point: In early October, the Grammy Award winner stepped out for an appearance during Billboard Latin Music Week in Miami. For the event, Shakira spoke about her journey through music and how she stays relevant in the industry. But before she started her discussion, she captured everyone’s attention with her chic outfit.

Playing up an edgier vibe for the night, Shakira wore a sleeveless black leather mini dress that hit the middle of her thigh. The silhouette of the piece featured a sweetheart neckline and a cinched waistline. To further accentuate the rock-and-roll effect she was going for, Shakira’s outfit also had a thick matching belt with stripes sewn through the leather.

But Shakira’s daring couture moment didn’t stop there. For accessories, she wore a pair of thigh-high leather boots, featuring platform soles and stiletto heels. She wore a chunky chain necklace and cocktail rings, adding a touch of sparkle to the monochromatic look. Her long blonde hair was styled into beach waves, and she wore classic black eyeliner and mascara.

When the “Whenever, Wherever” singer later posted behind-the-scenes pH๏τos from the night on Instagram, fans immediately commented on how good she looked.
